| I did Atkins last year and lost 47lbs and a whole bunch of inches in a few months. I kept it off for a while but once I had a taste of carbs again (I got cocky) it was all down hill from there. Yes, I do believe cutting down on carbs and sugar are good ways to slim down, but from experience, I wouldn't do it again.

That is interesting, because white rice and white potatoes are high in glycemic index, they will spike up your blood sugar, which will stimulate more insulin production. In other words that reaction will make you crave for more carbs, but if you are able to handle this cravings and you are still losing weight, that is super.
