I know this is a bold statement but for someone who came from size 22 to size 4 and can look straight at those comfort foods and walk away without any desire for them, I know I am 100% sure. This is because I learned to lose weight from inside out, and I now have a different mindset towards food. I have trained my mind

Mentoring:
When I counseled patient who were addicted to drugs and or alcohol I challenged myself also to withdraw from the foods that make me gain weight. I said that if those patients can do it, I can do it. Their substance is drug or alcohol, mine is food.
Talking to someone about my successes and struggles, and listening to others and helping them, keep me committed.

Calendar contains the journal and the food diary.
The Journal. This brings me back to focus. I am always writing down what I eat,. Journaling makes be aware of what goes into my mouth, what feelings, or what situations that was happening at that time. I will write down why I overate.
Food diary. This has helped me identify which food to avoid. I used to have them all over my house, my car, hand bags even on my desk at work. I can always go back years and find out exactly what I ate and what helped me to succeed.
